Whats a good power supply for the Pinecil? I thought maybe my laptop USB C connection would work, but it only outputs 9v apparently. So What type of power ratings should I be looking for?
Best power supply?

I like this kind of power supply, however, it is a bit overkill - I use it as a backup power supply for my laptop but it also works well for Pinecil. I also have this (60W) power supply which works well. Maybe a power supply like this would be also good. Generally, PD and QC-capable power supplies are working, the higher the voltage rating is, the higher the output power of Pinecil. Basically a 20V-capable power supply which can provide 60W power can be used to use Pinecil at its full power. Other QC power supplies are also working, but some of them are only capable of providing 12V or 15V where Pinecil also can be used but at a reduced power, so reduced / slower heating.

Along with an ASUS laptop power supply, a Toshiba laptop power supply will also work, although a little shy on wattage, just 45 watts, 19V and 2.3A. but the tip is perfect and the cord is nice and soft and movable. I have also used it with an Anker 737 which is able to crank out 20V using an Anker USB C to USB C cable.

I've been using a generic universal laptop power supply rated at 65W for the longest time and it's worked very well switched to 20V. I recently got an Orico 100W GaN USB PD supply and it's also been very good so far.

I purchased this https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0CFQ73QF8?...ct_details
140W (5A at 28 / 20.5 V PD). Suits the V2 very well. Nice long cable, soft and pliable. |
