Axolotl on Mobian. What am I doing wrong?
#1
(Moved from the Axolotl on Pinephone / Mobian thread since I doubt this is really an axolotl issue.)

Axolotl installed on Mobian, which is farther than I've ever gotten before. But it will not let me add a contact, call or text another Signal number. Nor can I link to my desktop (following the instructions about scanning a QR code using zbar-tools and copying in the location of the screenshot, because I get no QR code on the desktop at all).

So I cannot get anything to work.

Anyone have any idea what I'm missing? Or doing wrong?

I can install v0.9.9-3 from GitHub  fine. It will register with Signal and I can then add contacts (manually) and chat with them. No groups functionality worth talking about.

If I install v0.9.9-5 (from the developers Telegram channel) then I can still add contacts and receive messages (either personal or even in a group) but nothing I send actually goes. Even incoming messages (that I have read) remain "unread" at the sender - my PinePhone plain isn't getting anything back to a Signal Server after the initial config.

I haven't got an x86 desktop so haven't ever linked to Signal-desktop.

Prob not much help. But at the moment Axolotl for me is pretty dysfunctional.

Thank you! I'll do that.

@dukla2000, I installed from github. Good to know, in an "I wish it wasn't like this" kind of way to know I'm not the only one with trouble Big Grin .
