Shipping to Canada via EMS - No tracking details 1 week after shippment email

I've tried searching this sub-forum to see if anyone else is having trouble with this, but it doesn't seem like others aren't having issues getting their tracking info...

I got an email on May 27, 2016 saying that my order had shipped; 8 days ago as of time of this writing. The order appears to have shipped via EMS to Canada. Since I got the tracking details, I check every couple days, but neither EMS' own site nor any other tracking websites show any tracking info.

EMS' website shows this error: "No tracking information for the shipment, or overdue tracking."
Other sites show messages to the same effect.

Is this happening for everyone having their package shipped via EMS? Maybe just for those receiving shipments to Canada? Maybe it's just mine?

Figured I'd post here before trying to contact customer service. I know those folks are pretty busy right now.

Over a week ago I received an email stating my pine has been shipped to Europe. Until now I still didn't receive a tracking number also not on backerkit.

Yeah, my status was "awaiting shipment" for probably a week or more before I got my ship notification. Once I did, I got a tracking number right away. The tracking info has just been invalid since.

Try this site to see if there is any further tracking info if you have a tracking number.  Some have reported that they have gotten better tracking info using this site.

Same here. Got an email on the 27th of may with tracking number to Canada but status shows as expired with EMS.

I'm in a similar boat. Also in Canada. Got the email from BackerKit saying it had shipped on May 27, but my shipment is still 'pending' on AfterShip, 17Track, etc.

"Please try again later, we are awaiting for tracking info from carrier."

I ordered the touchscreen and the PlayBox, so I knew it wouldn't come for awhile, so I'm doing my best to be patient and sit tight. But I'd love to know if there's a reason for the lack of info.

Same shipping message/email on 27May, tracking as of today shows "Expired" on aftership.com and "No tracking information for the shipment, or overdue tracking. " on China EMS site. Tried www.usps.com as someone in another thread recommended, but again to no avail.

I also ordered the Playbox kit, from Backerkit:

1 64GB MicroSD Android
1 7" LCD Touch Screen
1 PINE64 USA 5V Power Supply
1 802.11BGN Wifi/ BT4.0 Module
1 PlayBox Kit
1 PINE A64+ 2GB

Avoided batteries, as lithium ion batteries have been a shipping issue in the past (at least in the US).

Maybe the screens are an issue, has anyone else confirmed receipt of one of the 7" touchscreens?.....
