Is there a way to have Firefox get the desktop version rather than the mobile version? I pretty much never want to see the mobile version.

You can change general.useragent.override in about:config and pretend to be anything you want. If you remove the part "Android 9; Mobile;" from the general.useragent.override variable most, if not all sites will show the desktop variant. There are some add-ons that allow you to switch the user agent quickly or you can use second profile to have a 'desktop'-firefox and a 'mobile'-firefox.

Thanks! that did it. I had been trying to download and install a user agent switcher, but when I pushed the download file button, I would get a popup with a cancel button and an add button, and neither would do anything. Good thing firefox is usable without add-ons
