software crashes when selecting any category
#1
everything is updated, via terminal/kings cross.

Yet, when I attempt to select any category "audio & video", etc., the software application quickly shuts down .

Not sure how to rectify this. Any ideas?

thanks

Which Phone :  Brave Heart vers 1.1    UBPorts vers 1.2   PMOS vers 1.2a   ..?

I am still running Oct. 05 nightly on my Brave Heart phone with auto update turned on,  I do have to restart it occasionally for full functions. (AT&T prepaid)
    but it is useable.

On a PMOS convergent phone I have Oct 10 nightly, and I have not had to do any restarts on that, though it is on T-Mobile MNVO Simple Mobile
which does have spotty cell coverage. It is a fairly fresh install, it has not crashed yet so far no problems.

I also just downloaded and installed Oct. 12 on another PMOS phone, seems ok but I do not have a sim card in that phone yet. just wifi surfing.

I think the hardware version sometimes makes a difference in how the operating system performs, (just my observation)

UPDATE :  I did have to do a 'restart' on the PMOS phone running Mobian today, to open the text messages.  (Simple Mobile)
But it seems to work ok after the fresh restart.
------------------------

Side note :   From my experience,  TracFone/ T-Mobile has the hard data cap of 2gb of data for $25 monthly.
Simple Mobile/T-Mobile has a soft cap of 3gb data for the same $25 monthly, they reduce your speed after your data limit is reached.
In the fine print somewhere I read Simple is a subsidiary of TracFone...   hmm....
I try to always read the fine print.

Same issue here (PMOS community edition, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage). How about filling a bug report at https://gitlab.com/mobian1/issues/?

UPDATE: It is already here: https://gitlab.com/mobian1/issues/-/issues/137.

Hi all,
I switched over from ArchmiluxARM, there had been the same issue, but it was solved by dance12 via a package update.

I hpe the dev will just ask danct12 how he solved this one within a day ...

Regards,
A.
