psion like keyboard discussion

There has been a lot of discussion about a little screen on keyboard so I just want to link two projects. Planet Computers Cosmo communicator has this nice little display that shows information and a switch for answering phone calls. Another thing I want to link is this oled cover we had for Jolla phone. Jolla phone also has I2C connection that is used for this cover. Some kind of display to see notifications and maybe buttons to answer calls would be really nice so just posting ideas.

Mayde there could be just a little hole for speaker on the side of the keys. Shouldn't take much space from keyboard but would allow calls when keyboard is closed.

Wow! Very impressive!

Is the N950 keyboard connected to the i2c pins on the pinephone? Is the keyboard powered by its own battery?
"- is there already a tool for overclocking it desperately?"

Not sure but he hacked it together quite well. Looks like it's running maemo leste too.

What exactly is needed for that? Please give some details as it's an area many of us are more or less clueless about. Is it a matter of having the right key map and input method or are there other considerations like needing specific modifier keys present for the input method to work? I've already suggested a blank keycap option and programmable key mapping which might help of there isn't a fundamental issue with layout or number of keys.

I can recommend this bluetooth keyboard

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33021242...web201603_

I use it since several years with an android phone, it has all the keys necessary, touchpad which is helpful, backlight of the keys, long lasting battery life. It s my favorite.

It has the size of a Samsung Galaxy S5. I had with several keyboards of this size issues with keypress. Keypress does not work, or keypress produces several characters at once. with this one from Aliexpress I never had any issues. Very robust and reliable.
