That might be a better option -  it's building with docker but appears stuck on compressing the image for last couple hours.

Edit:: Looks like I was impatient,  it just finished.

Quick first impressions: Pretty useable despite the small buttons. No browser so installed firefox without issue. Youtube playback is very smooth but no sound. I see a modem manager but I guess there is no phone app here? Some window tiling would be nice but already a promising alternative to phosh  Smile
Sound ok on jwm and gnome versions
Receiving calls and sms ok
Calling not tested, send sms not tested

I'll try them out - wish I had some technical knowhow to help more but I can feedback if something appears broken. By the way, are these desktops all running x11 instead of wayland?
#13
Yes,
Pure x11 for some of them.
And of course gnome and kde have xwayland..
Never tried lxqt..

I tried building the gnome version a few times but my wifi kept dropping. Gave lxde a punt and the build completed.

Sound and telephone app works in this one but start menu locks up after 15mins or so. I uploaded a quick video demo (edit: it seems peertube doesn't like 720x1440 so here's the original mp4 file too).

Thanks !
I'm working on xfce4 now, and some apps of the common have to be moved.
Stay tuned Smile

Edit :
Great demo, thank you.

The video is pretty cool! More people should see this Smile

Yep, peertube is a bit obscure - feel free to redistribute the video to more popular platforms.

Plasma build failed with a dependency error - not sure if my flakey wifi is to blame. JWM installed okay - sound works but no telephony. Same menu/window lock up issue after a while but applications continue to run.

Lot of change :
I'll upload tomorrow.
Xfce, lxde, jwm and openbox ok(call, sms, sound)
The big band (Gnome, Kde) still need some work.
Minimalistic matchbox also need some work.
Openbox bar moved to tint2.
Xfce and lxde moved to core versions.
