Today I noticed that @ayufan had a Ubuntu 20.04 build, so I decided to try it out. No matter what I do, however, I cannot get any sound from the speakers. I have tried everything I could find on this forum, and made sure that the speakers were turned up in alsamixer, but no luck. Ideas anyone? Other then no sound and the printing service missing (which I can live with) I have really been loving this build.
Focal Gnome 20.04 no sound?

Have you run the postinstall script from the pbp-tools repo floating around?
That enabled sound for me, though it's still erratic after deep sleep (which needs the BSP uboot).

This worked for me based on the above pbp-tools hint and script:
Get https://gitlab.manjaro.org/manjaro-arm/p...ound.state and put it into /var/lib/alsa, then run alsactl nrestore

I tried it that way and it worked great, but I am still going to try the above file because when I plug in headphones, the right side is louder then the left side (and no, it isn't just the headphones). On a different note, does sleep work in the Focal Gnome 20.04 build? When I tried to put my Pinebook Pro into sleep, it just put itself into a deep sleep and wouldn't come out of it, forcing me to do a hard reboot. Thanks for the tip!

You need the BSP uboot and the 5.7 kernel if you want deep sleep on Ubuntu 20.04.
