Hey all,
I just received my PBP yesterday. It's been really fun tinkering with it. However, one of my use cases would hopefully involve using RDP to remote to my home desktop (Win10). I'm using the stock Debian+MATE distro (updated). I tried both rdesktop and krdc (frontend that uses freerdp). Both of them are basically slide shows when I connect. I'm guessing that I just need to find a client that is maybe more optimized for the rockpro? I wouldn't think it's a hardware limitation. Anyway, any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Have you tried Remmina ? I haven't installed it yet on my PBP, but it worked just fine on my PB, only trick for making RDP behave correctly was forcing the resolution to match the PBP.

Awesome, thanks guys. Yea, I had seen some stuff about Remmina, but when I couldn't find it in the main repo I kinda just forgot about it. I'm now seeing I need to enable the backports repo. I'll try it out tonight. Thanks again.
ETA: You know, MrTester, my desktop was running at 1440p. I bet that was a problem.

Yep, I had to tinker around with the OG PB for a while, since I mainly use it as a Terminal/VNC/RDP machine for connecting to my test setups around the office.
Also, update: last night I installed RealVNC viewer on my PBP. Used the RPi DEB ARM HF distribution straight from their website. Works surprisingly well. Quick test from here at work to my laptop at home, a little choppy, but usable.

I got remmina working as a snap (aw, snap!)
sudo apt install snap
sudo snap install remmina
sudo snap install gnome-3-28-1804
sudo snap install remmina
sudo snap connect remmina:gnome-3-28-1804 gnome-3-28-1804
sudo snap connect remmina:password-manager-service :password-manager-service # password manager
Don't know if you need to install "password-manager-service" with snap first.
Remmina worked great for me. It's one of the better RDP clients that I've seen. Thanks for the tip!
I tried to install remmina with snap. But couldn't connect remmina with gnome-3-28-1804. It said there was a missing plug in on remmina. So I removed it and snap. Then tried reinstalling and connecting. It wouldn't let me install remmina. It said that has certain prerequisites.
