WiFi on Xenial Minimal

Hello all!

I'm hoping I'm missing something simple, but I'm having a hard time setting up WiFi.

I've created a wpa_supplicant.conf and filled it with my network details, and created wlan0 with a similar config to the wlan1 file, and yet couldn't get the WiFi to start.

Also tried a guide for Raspberry Pi 3 (at-least-you-tried.jpg) as well and had no luck there (no wiconfig tool?).

Is there a guide to setting up WiFi on the minimal installs, or are they designed to only be set up using an Ethernet adapter?

I haven't used that image specifically, but others had the nmtui (network manager terminal user interface) utility which worked well.

I could use some help with this as well. I downloaded the minimal Pinebook image but without wifi support, it is pretty challenging. I've been troubleshooting this for hours.

This was an issue on AOSC as well.

Success! I followed the instructions here:

I ignored everything prior to step 3 - installing anything wasn't an option, and iwconfig isn't installed. The steps for setting up the wpa_supplicant and dhclient worked for me. Make sure you pay attention to when to use sudo.
