New ROCK64 doesn't boot
#1
Hello all:
in first place, I want to say hello to all, I'm a new user of Rock64 and this forum.

I've received my new Rock64 yesterday, and I can't get to boot never...
I've tried with a lot of images from the Pine64 installer and others burned with Etcher (ubuntu, xenial, diet, openmediavault, etc)
I've tried with two differents SD cards
I've tried with network and without it
I've tried with a usbserial connected to 6, 8 and 10 pin to monitor console output (no output received)

... and the result is always the same:

The green led is on
The red led is on
The white led is on
All permanently
And there is no output from HDMI

Someone can help me to understand what's wrong? Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance...

Are you using a TV or Monitor?

What resolution etc?

Are you able to check what IP it gets from your router and try pinging it?

Hi:
It's a monitor Up to 1920ppp
Yes the ethernet cable is always connected and the rock64 never gets IP

Have you tried powering it up without the SD card inserted. What is the status of the LEDs when you do this.

Someone can say me a stable image that works for sure. I want to test if my board can run almost one time.
I don't know if my Rock64 is broken or I'm wrong at all...

Thanks!!!

these are old but stable releases

I've tested with a pair of these and the same result....

Always it's hard like this? I mean, I have a lot of raspberries pi 3 and all boot at first time after burn the image with etcher.
With this board (Rock64), after my experience and other posts I've read, it seems that the Rock64 is hard to get a stable boot...

It's very frustrating...

This one worked for me first time. Try it yourself and see https://www.armbian.com/rock64/

I've already tested these images. The same results:

All 3 leds on
Ethernet led on

And nothing happens: no hdmi output, no dhcp requests....

Thanks
