This is draft calculation: 3.7Vx8Ah = 29.6Ah
For video player under Android environment, the board consumption about 2.5W, this means can continuous playback around 11 hours. This doesn't factor in plug in device power consumption such as HDD or USB Flash Drive.

If the Kindle battery is 3.7V type , then should be suitable and can charge thru the board. Please make sure to double check on polarity when connected.
