It's a little quiet here.
Found another image build here: http://files.pine64.org/os/win10-iot/win...161121.ffu

Though, doesn't seem to be that stable, at least not with WiFi+BT module.

As I really want to utilize Windows IoT, I hope someone could help out and share some more details etc... It's taking now considerably quite some time already and it's too quiet imho.

What are advertised benefits of Windows 10 IoT over Linux?

I don't think you can compare the two operating systems as they are quite different in the way they operate and what they offer. The use of either (including android and RTOS'es) is situational.
Win10 IoT is an appliance OS tightly integrated with Visual Studio made for running specialized code and snippets. Linux works fine as a stand-alone OS, but can be customised to do just about anything.

Comparing Win10 IoT to Linux like comparing a toaster to a person. The toaster is great at making toast. The person is great at operating the toaster and consuming toast, but can also be taught to do a myriad of other things. Smile
(To clarify; IoT is the toaster. Linux is the person.)

1. Can't apply settings (administrator password/wifi profile/computername) from Windows 10 IoT Core Dashboard
2. Upon changing 1 setting - ie computername change - after initial boot, a continuous boot loop occurs

Update:
When I remove the Wireless/BT module, the pine64aplus no longer gets trapped inside a boot loop.
Also settings appear to be successfully committed and remain after reboot
Image applied: windows10IoT_pine64_RS1_20161121.ffu

Update 2:
Seems that password for administrator account is not committed permanently. Upon reboot the password is 'reverted' to initial password: 'p@ssw0rd'.

I formatted with dashboard and I get "Failure to write provisioning file to microSD card"

Also will not boot.

Tried Android image and it also fails to boot.

I am thinking my board was DOA RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!!!

For Win 10 core I used the ioT dashbboard and pointed to the windows10IoT_pine64-RS1_20161121.ffu

For Android I used the WinImage utility.
