Has anyone successfully upgraded the PineBook Pro’s SSD? Any recommended brands/models?

Should be in Pinebook Pro Hardware and Accessories subforum.

The PBP ships with an eMMC installed, not an SSD.

The HardKernel 256GB eMMC is the largest pluggable emmc with a PBP-compatible socket that I know about.
I made a thread on it:
Hardkernel 256GB eMMC with lvm2 on PBP
It's still working, hasn't come loose yet.

If you're going to be using the NVME adapter with an actual SSD, there is a long compatibility table on the wiki:
