Otterbox case for PinePhone
#1
FYI for those looking for an Otterbox case that fits the PinePhone, here is the one I found that fits very well.

OtterBox uniVERSE Case for Samsung Galaxy XCover Pro

I will need to trim out for the camera, and it needs a small trim for the small button the side.

Other than those modifications needed, it fits like a glove (when I pulled it out the back cover started coming off). And it has good screen protection.

Oh nice find! I've long been looking for a case for the Pinephone that actually works and protects the screen.

So you cut a spot for the powerkey..

Do the volume keys work through the case's buttons?

Yup I trimmed for the power key, didn't take much and is hardly noticeable.  I used the back plate to trace where the camera lens goes, but still need to Dremel it out because the case is layered plastic and rubber.

Volume keys work perfectly through the case's buttons.

Awesome - i just got the case too and confirm it fits perfectly as well.

Volume keys just work, and for me the powerkey is exposed and didn't need any trimming at all. I just put the phone in and am set.

Back camera will need some work with dremel or exacto knife but other then that this works great OOTB.

Pretty neat. I almost never use the camera and probably wouldn't bother cutting a hole for it. I don't see any perforations for the speaker in the Otterbox, does it muffle the Pinephone speaker?

I haven't tested the speaker, I suspect it would muffle it. I will follow up when I get voice service working or test it with some music when I get a chance.
