I am new to this stuff. I am trying to getting the microsd ready but i am currently running into some issue with phoenix card. I have 32 gb micro sd card. I downloaded the latest android image and phoenix card. When i tried to select the android image, it keeps telling me the "script is not found". I tried doing it for remixos and same thing happened.

Any one have any idea on what I can do?

Thanks in advance!

I think you are trying to burn a dd image using PhoenixCard. If you want to burn a 'dd' image, you need to either use the dd command in a terminal, or an application like Win32DiskImager.

PhoenixCard images are these:

RemixOS:

Android:

This is the first time that I aware about such issue. Just as Ghost suggest, check whether DD image method having this issue. If this issue disappear using DD image, this implies that somehow there is partition error when Android or Remix perform initialization process.

Glad to hear it's working now.

Let it be known that the 'script not found' error is due to trying to burn a dd image using PhoenixCard.

I burned two different Ubuntu images to my SD card two different times.  The first image was just Ubuntu with no desktop.  I found that in one of the startup guides you provided links for.  When I booted up I realized there was no desktop as there is in my "normal" Ubuntu environment - on my desktop PC.

I then tried to do the Mate install and it failed after waiting for four hours.  I thought I had the wrong image, so I started over.  This time I used the link on the WIKI page for "xubuntu-xenial-mate-20160528-longsleep-pine64-8GB.zip".  When that booted I got the desktop but no launcher bar.  I have a task bar at the top with some rudimentary menus.  The "Internet explorer" Kudi I think, does not work.  I will not load any pages.  Acts like it will, but hangs after 70% or so.  I thought I needed to update the OS, so I started the update process.  That ran for 8 hours and failed.  I need a little help getting from here to there.  There, being a useable Ubuntu environment.  Can I use the same image I loaded to the USB drive for my desktop?  Or is the image we download from you specifically made to run on Pine?

I am a computer professional, and this stuff doesn't scare me, but I do find it a little frustrating that there is no "download" section, or document that specifically guides you in the setup process.  It's easy for you guys, because you developed the board and use it every single day.  The rest of us want to enjoy this environment and have the same enthusiasm you do.  We're dying to get these things up and running.  We just need a one-stop-shop that we can find the tools, resources, and guides.

I doubt that  Smile

Anyway: your SD card is the main problem. Check documentation below ("getting started" there) and when you bought a new good card check out: http://image.armbian.com/betaimages/
