What's the latest? It's been quiet on here since you posted about successfully booting via intercept.
Things have improved vastly, thanks to Simon (@longsleep). He has published ready to use images for Ubuntu and Archlinux. The Debian setup uses his U-boot and BSP kernel as well, but I didn't add a GUI environment as I use the Pine headless. The status regarding the mainline kernel hasn't changed so far from the end-user perspective. IMO this thread may be closed now, because it has become obsolete. We may continue the discussion here.
