NVMe SSD and battery life?

Why I still keep using the SSD:
  1. It's still a lot faster
  2. It has tons of space
These two things combined also allow me to actually use a large swap partition (8GB) because the computer has relatively little RAM.
I wouldn't be concerned about the longevity of the eMMC, it's perfectly useable and faster than an SD card. I have some other tablets that have eMMC storage and they have lasted for years.
It's also not soldered on, Pine 64 sell the modules separately and you can replace them very easily if it should fail.
