Some more things to note:
1. pull out the plastic light guide before trying to insert the rock64
2. pull out the rubber plug before trying to insert the rock64
3. when closing, try not pushing the top straight down, but coming in from the side with the ports and levering it in.
Here's some more pictures. On this, note how the mounting posts are spaced exactly like yours. This isn't the issue.
on this one, note how the HDMI and 3.5mm socket are poking through the case. This is still what I suspect your issue is; it'll seem like the board is mounted too far off to one side, but actually, it's that it's not clearing the holes.
