Hi,
I have followed the link and installed the latest version (xenial-pine64-bspkernel-20160507-1.img.xz ). I managed to expand the partition to my full sd card and install MATE.
I have managed as well to start in xwindow mode but the system goes really slow and gets frozen sometimes for some seconds.
I was wondering how is the performance in your experience and if you have any idea why mine is not so good.
Another issue that I am facing is that the edges of the screen are hidden on my monitor and can't see the menu bar.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Hi,
The menu issue may have to do with your monitor. I had the same problem and found here in the forum that the problem may be to the "Overscan" setting. Sure enough, I had this and it was on. Once, I turned it off, it fixed everything. I would check that first.
On your first question about performance, I found it a bit slow for me too. I assumed that that was the norm but could be wrong. Truthfully, I am more focused on a headless use case and so am not really focused on Mate desktop performance.
