I didn't want to state that pine64 are actually scamming people, of course not. It seems they have their own problems with the demand that they create, but well, that's something that has to be expected with a volume of products, that they have and ship.
Today i received an update to my ticket. I was told that i'm going to get refunded and that the 15% are waived because of the broken unit. I am though responsible for the cost of shipping it back. Not sure how that will be handled though, because the phone currently is in the hands of Luke.
I assume, that Luke then is going to send the phone off to Hong Kong and the amount will be withdrawn from my refund.
I can't say that everything is perfect for me now, but the current solution is definitely better than nothing. DHL quoted me ~26GBP for shipping from the UK to Hong Kong. Royal Mail seems cheaper, but i've looked at DHL because it usually is the norm here in germany.
