Poe splitter works fine

Hadn't seen anyone else post a success story on the POE splitter yet so I thought I would do so.  I have a Netgear POE switch and have successfully booted the pine64+ headless using the backer-kit offered splitter with the longsleep Ubuntu image.

Am I'm blind or are there any specs missing? Which speed is this negotiating?

tkaiser I think the POE splitter is not capable of gigabit.

really need specs on the pine shopping site. it looks a lot like this but without model info...

Drewh does your POE give any info as to manufacturer and/or model etc?


model shows as LS-POE-B0525, no other real information.  The comment about gigabit may be valid, I will test without the splitter in my environment to see it it will then correctly see gigabit connection, currently it is connecting at 100 base.

addendum: the splitter does seem to limit connection to 100 speed, powering from a different source, with the splitter not being present, it detects GB speed.
