This thread has been really helpful. I've successfully set up my Pinebook Pro (after some effort), so feeling full of beans and filled with confidence from this thread, I was ready to purchase the phone.

And....sold out. I waited too long. I'll need to wait for the next batch. Still, thank you to everyone for their help. I'll look forward to the next batch and purchasing one.

Sometimes persistence does pay off,  a few weeks after they sold out of both models of the PMOS phones I was looking through the Pine store.
I found they had the standard model available and I bought one... September 5 or 6th I think.
the next day they were out again.
The next round of sales will be "mid September"  you will be able to get ether the standard or Convergence Package, this edition ships with Manjaro operating system.
