That statement was untrue at the time of my post, and remains only partially true today. The installer did not work at the time, and had not worked for over a week, and did not start working until I reported the problem and the maintainers then fixed it. The whole install still doesn't fully work, because it doesn't install a bootloader. This can be manually solved by a user with enough knowledge, but to claim that the install works is a bit misleading.
I have updated my post with instructions for manually completing the install, and plan to add more information when I have time.
