however you do it you will first need root. and you also need to grant write priviledge to the system directory. then you can just rename the current bootanimation. then just name the new file to bootanimation.zip. at least that's the way i did it from android 13 to 15. might have changed. also, i've never done it on these pine64 builds so maybe shripal17 is right about having to do what he says.
