If you have a DHCP server and ethernet handy, you should be able to plug in, scan your network or check your modem/router for the IP, and log in via SSH as root/1234 still though. A bit of a late reply, but I was able to successfully SSH into my pine64 with the new kernel, I added the lines below to the /boot/armbianEnv.txt and got the SPI working
