I have no idea what has changed in my seteup - using same ethernet cable, hub port, power supplies, usb cable, and kernel, and suddenly it's  good for 90%+ of boots.

Ah well, I'll stick my capacitor back on there for good measure (though I now have no evidence it's doing anything useful, it doesn't appear to cause any harm) and move on.

Jeah, we should rename that board to PAIN64. So many mystifying things happen on it Big Grin Big Grin
