hi, my response is meant in a friendly spirit of goodwill, and not as a rebuke.
... there are some rules about update and upgrade that must be followed with SBC SoC boards; and I do mean all of them.
1) never update or upgrade unless you have been advised to for a purpose , and then only if there is a 'need'
2) read rule (1) again , and follow it religiously.
3) before updating & upgrading , backup your SD card data , then backup the SD card itself.
4) if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
4b) or, if it ain't broke, fix it until it is.....
The 'weak link' or achilles heel of the PineA64 board ( or the Raspberry PI too ) is the SD card. Its the slow component, its the corruptible component, and its most easily lost. It is very important to have your SD card backed up for just this situation (and others).
Often, longsleep will be able to tell you what you need to do to fix the card, so don't chuck it. On the other hand, it is almost always easier and less hassel in the long run to flash a new card and keep smiling... um, computing.
