The screw design actually works very well, because its solid; it does not accidentally come apart, even if its accidentally dropped.
Also, the screw design allows for the stacked design (zebra style) which C4Labs is famous for... I would like to see a Zebra Black Ice design for the PineA64 that for the most part looks | feels | like the one they made for the Raspberry PI ! If the design is right access to the board is not at all necessary !
I have not needed to open my PIs (Zebra Black Ice) since installing the heatsinks !
