I was very excited to finally receive my Pine64 today. I immediately set to work connecting the touch panel -> adapter board -> connector cable, and then DISASTER! The DSI connector on my board is completely missing the plastic clip
Edit:
Is this fixable without having to return the board?
How can I get hold of a plastic clip and attempt a repair?
Looks like a couple of the pins are damaged as well, so it's not just the plastic clip. I
Edit 2:
I have attached the best pic I've been able to take. You can see the pins on the right look deformed.
Devastated :-(
When you get a lemon... make lemonade !
... make sure you don't have any shorts in that connector (you'll probably need a glass)
Use that board as a PC, and order a new board.
If you are VERY careful, you might be able to pull the connector off with a heat gun... get a new connector from digikey, and then replace it...
... but that's a risk.
