How can I record video on a Pinephone?

I noticed there is no autofocus when recording videos with ffmpeg, so we cannot read what is displayed for example when getting close to a computer screen.
It should no longer be necessary to record videos with ffmpeg when Mobian stable switches to trixie soon (since it should be possible to record videos with apps like Megapixels or Gnome Snapshot) but it would be good to know if there is solution for this issue with ffmpeg.
