I'm using the pre-installed Dactnix Arch linux.

Yes, it is plugged into the one furthest from the power button, labeled "USB/PD".
But it does not charge.
I tried uploading pictures, but it says they're too large.
Here are some links to the images:
Plugged-in, but still discharging:

The AC adapter - it works with other devices and has the correct amperage and voltage (and wattage if you multiply those together).

The bottom port - the USB/PD port.

I am sure you have tried this, but do you have another USB-C cable to try?
(edit) and if you plug it into a Linux machine does it show up on lsusb?
(edit2) Since the keyboard/case interfaces via a USB docking port can you try removing the case?
Yes, I have tried a different cable and also a different adapter. Same result.
Plugging the tablet into another linux machine to see if it shows up on lsusb? No, I have not. I can try that when I get home from work this afternoon.
Another data point: I played with it last night until the battery died. Then I plugged it in and went to bed and it charged up to 20% overnight. If I look at the battery graph, though, it doesn't look like it charged. Maybe it was just hot when it said 0% and shut down? The graph says it went down to 20 and stayed there. There's definitely something wrong.
Keyboard/case:
I plugged it in with a new adapter and cord that I know work elsewhere. Nothing.
I just removed it from the keyboard/case and plugged it in and it started charging and it even made a "brrring" sound.
I removed the cable, put it back in the case, then re-plugged it in and it started charging. While in the case, it did not make the sound.
So I'm at a total loss. There's definitely a short somewhere and I don't think it's the cable.
the kb case works though? lights up, types, and moves cursor?
I wonder if the other 20% overnight charge is a backup flat battery slow charge mode, have to look at the charge controller data sheet.
Yeah, the keyboard and mouse work when I have it positioned correctly.
I have to make sure it's pushed back all the way and it works.
After I followed your advice and removed it from the keyboard case yesterday, it charged fully in just under 4 hours.
I'll run it down a bit and try to charge it again tonight.
