This is porbably it, had to switch USB ports when I opened my Pinetab2 just now, now charging fine.
The pinetab comes with arch which I am not familiar with having used Debian since skipping from RHL in the mid y2ks, but everything works out of the box including wifi.

What does Mobian look like on this device?  What does realistic battery life look like?
