An eMMC module should be (a lot) faster, but I doubt it'll have an effect on your issue. Better double check whether the eMMC module you linked *can* be used on a Quartz64 (at all). AFAIK all Pine64 devices use the same type of eMMC module, with the same type of connector, but AFAIK you can't just use some random eMMC module.

Try to boot with Plebian to see whether it's a hardware or software (ie Manjaro) issue
