if the lack of an hdmi port on an ultralight laptop is a deal breaker for you, that's ok. it's not for everyone. as you pointed out, you can find several laptops with full size HDMI ports.
That is good to know. A lack of HDMI is not a complete deal breaker. I've obtained a dongle to convert USB-C to HDMI. It's just that looking at a small LCD screen all the time is not something everyone can do without eye strain. I would need the dongle to be supported. Maybe the discussion should be about what broke USB-C to HDMI support.

HDMI is ubiquitous. Every monitor uses it. It's hard to imagine how anyone over the age of 15 could avoid HDMI.
