In the photo with jumpers - there is no important jumper on the connector that is closer to the edge of the board (it is signed ON/OFF_BATT  ). Install a jumper on it (the contacts must be closed.

Just to double check, we want to jump (connect) the two pins on board that are closer to the edge?
