maybe basics work in pinephone regular but i don't recommend for novice users unless they willing to learn some basics of linux, like pacman for arch and manjaro, apt or aptitude for mobian and apk (not android apk) for postmarketos. ssh is also helpful.
i recommend stock rom though and version 30.006.30.006, there was some issues with half-free firmware but i don't remember what was it. however, i recommend changing usb settings for both stock and half-free firmware, https://github.com/the-modem-distro/pine...ETTINGS.md . from ...ATTR{power/control}="auto" into ...ATTR{power/control}="on" .
