R U running from eMMC -- If so how?

Step 1. Install Tow-boot from sdcard
Step 2. Hold volume up while powering on to mount the eMMC over usb (Basically jumpdrive for Pinephone Pro)
Step 3. Install Manjaro by writing the image to the eMMC via mounted storage from my computer.
Step 4. I use my unofficial battery case to make the Pinephone Pro last all day with suspend disabled. I can make and receive calls, SMS, and MMS, all are all working. Daily drivable.

Wait! Say what? 1) I've got no idea what "tow-boot" is, 2) is this in lieu of the "mythical' "RE" switch that these consumer alphas have (though mine lacks one), how exactly is that supposed to "work"? 3) now THAT I would LOVE to do! (Did I mention that the command line is DEAD because I have NO keyboard access?) 4) That just sounds FUN!
