Interesting.... It worked for me. It does seem a bit faster, looks like more software options available for download (hope to get signal and linkedin apps soon, and have thunderbird fit the screen, its my fav mail client).

From the read it seems like they primarily sorted out modem issues. Maybe everything requiring cell signal will work after deep sleep now? I only did a brief test with no sim.

I have no idea why they removed screen auto rotation. Its in their comments so it was obviously intentional. Maybe that has something to do with your first language screen you are stuck on?

I tried it 2 days ago and it´s painfully slow compared to Arch. Maybe because of the outdated Kernel Manjaro uses (still 5.7, i presume?). I´ll give it another shot though.

They switched to 5.9 yesterday, I think.  Feels about the same as Arch to me.

Curiously, Arch with the dock, HDMI works but USB does not.  On Manjaro, USB works but HDMI does not.

Onscreen keyboard does not work. Build is unusable

After installing the latest build and updating with pacman -Syu and rebooting, launching Megapixels gives the error 'Could not find the cameras'
uname -a shows I'm on 5.9.1 and I'm using an Ubuntu Touch CE edition Pinephone.

Hmmm.... Very interesting indeed. Im not part of the manjaro dev team, i just happened to have posted the release here first because i saw the news and noone else had yet. Unfortunate to hear so many issues even though they've called it beta. I personally agree it still needs a bunch of work, but i can honestly say i havent had any of the problems reported here. For me it works as stated.

I will provide a word of warning that could shed light on many of your issues. I do not believe anyone should update through the terminal using pacman -Syu at this point. Unlike ub touch and mobian which seem to only push completed daily builds the the repo, it looks like the manjaro team is actively working from it. Ive previously had issues with -Syu too. Best to only flash the formal release, otherwise your updating to whatever theyre actively doing and breaking.

For me on latest build the onscreen keyboard does not work - makes the build unusable

I think they do not test their own builds on their phones before uploading it ?????

Camera works well on Arch with the same Kernel but not on Manjaro. Same with the keyboard. I guess i´ll stick with Arch then.
