I found that the keyboard/trackpad is somehow being turned off by ViCE. I haven't had time to figure how how or why yet. But I have confirmed that this is unrelated to the wireless networking adaptor because I can still reliably telnet in when the keyboard and trackpad stop working.

I successfully cobbled together a working kernel based on GENERIC64. Mine is 6M smaller at the moment.
