[b]Conclusion: [/b]OS is not Ready for pinephone to be daily driver.

Notes: Much improvement from yesterday. Clear phone quality. Stable wifi. SMS on point. The UI is more responsive. Camera is still lagy. Phone is still a bit slow overall. All tests except MMS messages are passing today!!

We should begin regular testing of MMS. Soon on this OS.

Do you have a dedicated Verizon sim for PinePhone? Do you switch from another phone back and forward? I am asking because I read before in the forum that verizon might charge you $30 if detects a new device. I have Verizon, but I do not want to start being charged every time I try it. Are you in the US?

Better yet try the Pulseaudio module-echo-cancel which can use the Speex and WebRTC cancellation methods among others. The WebRTC one may be the better bet. It also has automatic gain control which may help with complaints about volume. Assuming it isn't in there already...or use too much cpu...

Yeah, I have the same issue - I still can't call out or receive calls. Do we need to reflash the nightly? I ran apt upgrade today, but calls are still not working for me.

Sorry, I should have read the other post first!

It pointed me to this page https://gitlab.com/mobian1/issues/-/issues/78

I ran the following in the terminal:
Code:
sudo apt install libasound2=1.2.2-2.3 libasound2-data=1.2.2-2.3 libatopology2=1.2.2-2.3

then rebooted.

and now calls are working again!

Thank you, scott_VYuCAbn3k1NFK! I did that and was able to call myself to get voicemail.  Though, I wasn't able to confirm incoming call to work, yet.  Someone just tried to call and I didn't hear, and I wasn't able to get sound when i called back.

That's interesting. So, your SIM is associate to another phone, but it works in your PinePhone. So, then I wonder I can use my iphone SIM or if I buy one, associate it to  my iphone, but use it on the Pine. Still not sure about fees if i keep switching phones.
thanks!
