eMMC upgrade
#1
I see larger eMMC module available on pine64 website, has anyone tried upgrading to 64 GB ?

From what i can see in the schematic and component placement the emmc (U700) is soldered not socketed on the PinePhone. The modules are for use on other boards.

@wibble's answer is correct. The eMMC is soldered on the PinePhone. It still would be technically possible to replace, but that's well above almost anyone's skill level. (if you have to ask how to do it, you won't be able to Wink )

Thanks for the reply. Bummer but in phones it is always tricky to save space so not surprising
