Thanks for your ideas...I appreciate it.
It's a shame...hopefully things turn around. I've sort of run out of options. Right now I think mine may actually be dead.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I've now tried the RemixOS image as well, still dead, not even a boot image. I've burnt both the Android and the RemixOS using the Phoenixcard software in startup mode. Also should be said, I have tested the card, and it is genuine.
Is it a question of getting in touch with Pine themselves now? I'm all for new tech and brave ventures, but if it doesn't work, then something has to be done!!
Getting beyond frustrated. Pine64 1GB RAM/GigEth (Holiday Pine) - board arrived from China in a padded mailer inside the padded mailer was a cardboard box, branded with Pine64, which was a bit crunched up.
I've been through, like others, multiple micro SD cards, TypeA to Micro USB cables, and so many power supplies it is silly (iPad charger that delivers 2.4A @ 5VDC - I even load tested it!, an Anker 5-port USB charging station that can do 2.4A per port, a supply that works fine with my RaspI 2, it goes on and on, ending at a bench power supply calibrated and dialed into 5VDC and capable of delivering somewhere in the neighborhood of 15A @ 5VDC single-rail. O-scope shows no notable ripple.). MicroSD's - I've tried big (32/64GB), small (4/8gb), cheap, expensive (SanDisk, Lexar), every OS image released burned as prescribed in Startup formatting normal first, and none inserted at all. In every case, all I get is a red power LED (why they chose red, I will never know - these days one expects red to be associated with a fault, or activity). HDMI 1080p TV, HDMI dell monitor, both known good, short HDMI cables, long HDMI cables, premium HDMI cables... I never even get HDMI sync. What am I missing? Otherwise, how can I kick this piece back to PINE and get a replacement or refund?

looks like quite a lot of us are having the same issue. I am on the verge of asking for a refund a perhaps buying a fire tv or a Pi3. I have never struggled so much with writing am image to a card and booting a device and as for this whole power thing.. its an absolute joke!

Hey all,
Check out my thread I just posted, if you are using a display adapter it could be causing it not to display at all http://forum.pine64.org/showthread.php?tid=542 |
