Thats why i again humbly request for such newer driver to be added to the next release, pretty please with a cherry on top? Pleeeeeease?
For your reference this image of armbian includes a driver that works OOTB no extra steps at all to setup, im not a dev or expert at all so i dont know what version do they use or where do they get it from but probably they get it from some stable and known repo as the armbian people are kinda strict with what they add to their images...
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

I suggest you make a feature request on our official Forum.
My builds will be discontinued. All my work has been incorporated into official LibreELEC. They will start official alpha builds soon. Please upgrade to official on the next occasion.
So my and kwiboo's builds will become official soon. The next build will be LE9 alpha.

Exelent, congratulations (i guess), im going to wait it to be oficially released then and test my card again but where should i download it from? oficial download page? or some specific thread on their forum? also, just a suggestion, maybe you should add this information about the hand over to the LE team on the original post of this thread, for future reference, imho...
Thanks in advance for all your work

I'm an official LibreELEC developer. I will try to remember your issue. The Rock64 will become an officially supported Device afaik so you will be able to download it from the official download page.
This is just an FYI call about my personal community builds being transfered into official. Everyone can still write issues in this thread and I will try to give best support. The big advantage of becoming official is that you have several developers and supporters and not just me. So in a way this is good news not bad

The "(i guess)" part was because i thought you where giving away your baby to LE and was a sad day (AKA devs empty nest syndrome) but in fact you keep working on it just "under new direction", so i correct that to a CONGRATULATIONS (and ofc you also dont need to correct the first post) and again thanks for all your work

thank you for the great Job ! I have just installed leia24 on a rock64 and it worked OOTB with an HDMI Cable plugged on my AVR.
Then I have tried to enable Audio HDMI digital passthrough for my Pioneer VSX2020K AVR and it didn't go well... the horrible pfrfrpfrp sound prevents me from enjoyoing the neat image. Does anyone has some insight as to what to look for ?
Do I have to set something other than enable passthrough and some digital codecs like dts/ac3/etc ?
Thanks
Krill42 DTS HD-MA and Dolby TrueHD as passthrough are still work in progress I assume as I can confirm white noise or silence when activated for DTS HD-MA and Dolby TrueHD on a Onkyo TX-NR-1010.
On the Onkyo display it shows the correct audio format as either DTS HD-MA or Dolby TrueHD... but no sound.
My workaround is to switch to downmix to PCM which sounds OK.
Thank you for the quick answer. I have indeed taken the PCM downmix way and it rocks (!). Now my official hometheater source is LE on Rock64.
Do you mean plain DTS and Dolby are ok with hdmi passthrough ? (I'll keep try with future release for HD digit sound).
Thanks again for this super software.
Krill42
Raybuntu, would appreciate if you'd let us know once the alpha image comes out. Cheers
does the IR work for someone? For me just CEC works. How to power it on after LE is powered off?

IR works for me just fine. LE doesn't have a stand-by mode, so if you power it off you won't be able to turn it on via CEC; only the power on button.
Figured I'd let everyone know that official alpha from LibreELEC is now available for download:
