Initial attempts at installing drivers on the pinetab2 did not succeed, but maybe that is a topic for another thread.

Looks like that driver is in the AUR, too. Yay could probably take care of the heavy lifting for you on building/installing it to the tab2.

I don't think they make them anymore, but the WiPi USB adapter that Raspberry Pi used to sell before they added wifi to the boards worked on the Pinetab2 for me right out of the box.

Hi, had the same problem on pinetabv2 as arrived and all my various ethernet to usb, and wi-fi dongles on short list would not pick. I have now purchased a tp-link usb type c to rj45 gigabit dongle UE300C(UN) P/N: 0101502037 via amazon uk based on someone saying it just worked - added to usb socket neareat power switch and it did indeed immediately work. Notified updates were available, so updated 508 items (all) today without problem. Quick rebook with a tp-link ac 1300 nano wi-fi plugged into very cheap simple usb hub and it immediately picked up and worked after password added. All working fine now on first wi-fi dongle I came to in my box.
It seems that for newbies and those unused to arch linux the base install is likely very basic and needs an update before coming more useful. Must admit try to self install drivers etc. looked a bit hard for me as i have difficulty with long multi-document instructions suggested to do it manually. Sorry I could't give credits as names are always a probleem, but for my use case this seems the simplest solution to getting more functunctional. Must admit we mostly feeling our way but a little more detail in some places would be nice.
Apologies for long post but hope it helps someone.

I bought a TL-WN725N too, which is tiny, and a right angle USB-C to A adaptor so I just have one awkward thing protruding from the side of the tablet. Annoying, but not terrible. Worked out of the box using the preinstalled OS (although i had done an update using another adaptor which I already had first).
