Battery issues with latest image

Hi, I installed the latest image on my braveheart pine phone and it looks much more polished but I am still seeing the battery last 6 to 7 hours. I don't know if it connected to the battery issue but I can feel the back of the phone just below the camera (still not working right) lens as being warm.

Does anyine have any idea what the reason for this might be?

Yes, I read that the battery improvements were coming but I was concerned about the warm area on the back of the phone.

The warm area is where the cpu is located. It's normal that it gets hot under load. Implementing power saving will help with this as well, but it will always get hot under heavy usage (games etc).

Thats what I guessed but the warm area was still present an hour after heavy usage.

Yes, that's where the power saving comes in. The phone right now is like an idle car with the gas-pedal halfway in. The car doesn't move, but it gets hot and burns fuel.

I have the Community Edition, with UBPorts pre-installed, and this has been my experience as well.

The phone became very hot on one occasion and the keypad entry started malfunctioning (e.g. the characters displayed did not match the ones I chose on the keypad).

I tried a re-start but that didn't help. I had to switch it off and let it cool down for an hour, then it was working again after a further re-start.

I now take care to switch it off every few hours and let it cool down.
