You mean use flatpak to install the same app that's not working now under this OS? Or using flatpak to install some other SIP/VOIP softphone? If the latter, which one to install? Any recommendations?

I'm sorry for not being more clear. I meant using flatpak to install Jami. I just checked it on mobian and it works quite well.

Thanks for clarifying. I tried the flatpak version under Manjaro-ARM (Plasma) and it behaves the same as the non-flatpak one. I get only a splash screen when I try to run the app and it seems afterward at some point to just unceremoniously abort. Guess I'll have to try Mobian or some other OS to get SIP/VOIP functionality out of my PinePhone.

What is the error  if you run jami-qt from the command line?

My error is
Code:
jami-qt: symbol lookup error: jami-qt: undefined symbol: _ZN3lrc3api11PluginModel26getPluginPreferencesValuesERK7QString

Out of interest, compare the results of
Code:
pacman -Fl qt6-webengine
on your Pinephone and on your x86-64 machine. On teh Arch pinephone and Archlinux x86-64 PC they are hugely different.
PS. if you get an error run
Code:
sudo pacman -Fy
to get the pacman file lists

(02-05-2021, 02:39 PM)Hi, I am using Jami on all my devices. All my contacts live on Jami. Therefor i nedd to install Jami also on my daily driver ubuntu-touch running on Pixel 3a. I have noticed that it it is possible to install Jami on my device via snapZ0r but sińce this version was mad for the desktop version the characters appear too small and there is no virtual keyboard. I am hoping to finde a group of people (developers) who are interested in porting the code over to ubuntu-touch in a convergent  layout. Unfortunately I am no programmer and can not directly contribute to this effort. Please let me know your thoughts. Any idea is greatly appreciated. Thanksp1trson Wrote: Hello folks, if you're struggling to find a secure and free(as in freedom) software IM and VOIP client for Pinephone, this is suited for you. With latest changes it is currently possible to build jami client for the pinephone and have it in _usable_ state with nearly all features working out of box! To get familiar with Jami more, visit:
https://jami.net/

The above applies for jami-qt client (not the gnome one!) and Phosh

What works:
- importing account / registering
- sending messages
- receiving messages
- calling and receiving audio calls
- calling and receiving video calls*
- adding new contacts
- sending / receiving attachments
