No support from pine64 team for Debian. Sorry for that words, but it is sad true... Debian it is taboo subject here, for now. No even hardware documentation with names, pinouts, proposed values - public. These information are strictly allowed only for some close team. Yes, You can always use some of super-duper (super slow) OS like Ubuntu, Nano, or whatever, but don't count any details for build Your own Device Tree Structure for PinePhone. These is really piss off situation.

Oh thank You Sir for such "valuable" answer (as the same as previous, there is always possibility to check the history of posts as You know). I do not wrote my post as a troll, but as i sad: truly open source knowledge is hard to get here IF WE TALKING ABOUT PREPARE PINEPHONE+ORIGINAL DEBIAN to work correctly. It is only ONE partially working installation process described here:

but after installation by above Tutorial the effect is: You are able to use Debian from CLI, however it is not enaugh because wifi is not working (and this is nothing big surprise,because firmware-realtek.deb package with non-free driver for PinePhone WiFi card is NOT INSTALLED). The modem is not working too. This two (and maybe more) could be quickly solve if:
- better image could be prepared (include realtek driver) and
- device tree blob (dtb) file would be corrected with information about hardware devices and values
- or enough detail information about hardware of PINEPHONE

Pine64 team doesn't share information about modem (please check the website of vendor if You want to know the answer).

Note to You: i am under preparing more correct device tree structure file with minimal config set to run apt update/install process (after booting on PinePhone) with Debian netinst version.

If you have nothing more valuable to type here, and really do not want to help people who try to the best as they can prepare Debian installation process would You please sh.t up and stoping me call "troll"? -or explain me why did You call me " troll"? Thank You so much!

@j23 what transpires from what you write is that you may not have a full understanding of how this project operates. It would be a good idea for you to go back and read some of the blog posts from recent months and our philosophy tab to get a better grasp of how the project funcitons.

As for your questions lets get the obvious stuff out of the way - you can find all information regarding the PinePhone including schematics, modem info, revision information, etc. on our Wiki page.

As for software - PINE64 doesn't make software. We partner with Linux mobile OS projects, whom deliver systems for the PinePhone. Numerous other people - independent of the established projects - are also taking a stab at it. In short, we deliver the hardware, work with the community to detemine right course of action, deliver the documentation and provide a frame (forums, chats, etc.,) for the community to work within.

As for Debian ... I literally just saw someone who put together Debian with Phosh the other day. The mainline kernel requires patches for the PinePhone to make it fully functional. I expect that a quick google search for "Debian + Phosh" or something to this effect will quickly lead you in the right direction.

Just to avoid a needles situation where someone feels hurt @evilbunny reverted your rep. Do some research for future posts.

We are expecting the pinephone to be able to build a smartphone with filtered Internet access, with children in mind. You know how devastating some Internet contents can be on children. Many families would be happy to have such a phone. We have the software, a highly customizable filter but it runs on Linux. I tested it with Ubuntu Touch on a Nexus 5. It works fine, but the autonomy of the phone is really bad, less than one day. You don't see a real difference between working and sleep mode.
