Every few weeks after an apt update the wake/sleep button does not work, the next update usually fixes it but still would like to have a hand fix ready to go as it is such a frequent problem.
If anyone knows the /dev that is attached to this switch as well as the place it is communicating with the os.
when the button is broken in OS I cant just look in journalctl and dmesg -w as itis not triggering(I looked)
How to trigger a wake event form CLI/SSH? One trick is often plugging in USB power or unplugging usually gets me the login screen;
Since I am mostly in home office I can just keep the sleep turned off with the caffeine button and wait for the next update but that wont work if I have to go mobile.
