Getting started with fingerprint scanner case

I received the fingerprint scanner. So now the first task is to get this working

I haven't found many information, apart a demo that was based on https://github.com/zschroeder6212/tiny-i2c-spi  (which does not build, see https://github.com/zschroeder6212/tiny-i2c-spi/issues/1 ).

Any way to go further ?

im also interested, unfortunately the wiki says there's still no support in any OS
